Throughout my Nurse Practitioner program, I prioritized culturally competent care by integrating quality improvement, safety, and inclusivity. My clinical rotations, including a medical mission trip to Ecuador, deepened my understanding of socio-economic and cultural barriers to healthcare, allowing me to apply evidence-based, patient-centered care in diverse settings.

During clinical hours across adult, geriatric, pediatric, and women’s health, I tailored care plans to individual needs, incorporating social determinants of health. In Ecuador, I collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to provide preventative care and acute interventions, honing my ability to adapt care delivery in resource-limited environments.

Through coursework and projects, I analyzed socio-economic, political, and ethical factors shaping healthcare, advocating for health equity and accessibility. I upheld ethical principles, ensured patient safety, and participated in quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes. These experiences underscore my commitment to delivering culturally responsive, inclusive, and effective care.
