Application of Theoretical Foundations and Leadership Principles
Applying philosophical statements, theoretical projects, and clinical reflections to advance primary care practice.
Building on my clinical and academic experiences, I applied theoretical foundations and leadership principles to enhance primary care and drive better patient outcomes. Through coursework and hands-on training, I integrated nursing and interprofessional theories into evidence-based, patient-centered care plans.
During coursework and clinical hours in adult, geriatric, pediatric, and women’s health, I led interprofessional teams, facilitated transitions of care, and engaged in quality improvement initiatives. My leadership extended to mentoring peers and collaborating on SBAR case presentations to enhance communication and coordination.
A medical mission trip to Ecuador further strengthened my leadership skills, as I adapted evidence-based care to resource-limited settings. Additionally, I advocated for the Nurse Practitioner role through professional organizations and policy initiatives.
By combining theory with leadership, I contributed to advancing primary care delivery and promoting high-quality, equitable healthcare across diverse populations.
